About track spikes and racing shoes
Track spikes are made for specific events. Sprint spikes are stiff and aggressive, with a rigid plate for fast turnover. Middle-distance spikes give up a little of that stiffness for some cushioning, and distance spikes add just enough comfort underfoot to last a longer race. Pin length and plate stiffness matter as much as the discount, so buy for the event you actually run.
