1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using RUNSHOEINDEX ("the Service") at runshoeindex.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What RUNSHOEINDEX is

RUNSHOEINDEX is a community-powered running shoe deal platform. We display publicly available pricing information from UK retailers, and registered users can submit deals, vote, comment, and set price alerts to help the community find the best deals on running shoes. We are not a retailer and do not sell products directly. Purchases are made directly with third-party retailers.

3. Accuracy of information

We make reasonable efforts to keep price and product information accurate and up to date but we make no warranties about the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of information displayed. Prices may change between the time we retrieve them and the time you click through. Always verify the final price on the retailer's website before purchasing.

4. Affiliate relationships

RUNSHOEINDEX participates in affiliate programmes. This means we may earn a commission if you click a link to a retailer and make a purchase. This does not affect the prices shown. You pay the same price whether you arrive via RUNSHOEINDEX or not. Our editorial decisions are not influenced by affiliate relationships.

5. User accounts

You may create a free account to use features such as price alerts and favourites. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account with others or use the Service for any automated or commercial purpose without our written consent.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise harvest data from the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent deals, or manipulate votes (for example with multiple or automated accounts).
  • Post spam, abusive, defamatory, or unlawful comments or content.
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its availability.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

7. User-generated content

When you submit a deal, comment, or vote, you retain ownership of your content but grant RUNSHOEINDEX a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content as part of the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of others.

We may moderate, edit, or remove any user-generated content at our discretion, for example, deals that are inaccurate, expired, or breach these terms. We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted deals or for content posted by other users, and we accept no liability for it.

8. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, or remove your content, if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the platform. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

9. Intellectual property

All content on RUNSHOEINDEX, including original text, design, code, and product descriptions we have written, is owned by RUNSHOEINDEX or used with permission. Product names, brand names, and images are the property of their respective owners and are displayed for the purpose of price comparison under fair use.

10. Cookies

By using the Service you acknowledge our use of essential cookies as described in our Privacy Policy. Non-essential cookies (such as analytics) are only set with your explicit consent via our cookie banner. You can change your preferences at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

11. Third-party links

The Service contains links to third-party retailer websites. When you click through to a retailer, you leave RUNSHOEINDEX and are subject to that retailer's own terms and conditions and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party site.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RUNSHOEINDEX is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to price discrepancies, missed deals, or issues with third-party retailers.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
