It is heavy on comfort and light on correction, which is exactly the point. If you loved the neutral Glycerin 22 but wanted a touch more stability underfoot, this is that shoe. At an RRP of 155 pounds it sits at the top of the daily-trainer market, so it needs to earn its place with sheer plushness and all-day comfort. It mostly does.

The ForeverRun Nitro 2 is Puma's answer to the modern stability question: hold your foot steady without a hard medial post, and cushion it enough to still feel good at the end of a long run. It is a road stability trainer built for higher mileage, with a 38mm heel and 28mm forefoot giving you a genuinely deep, protective platform and a traditional 10mm drop that most heel-strikers will settle into fast. The support comes from a wider, structured build and Puma's RunGuide sidewalls rather than a firm post, so it guides rather than corrects. At 295g it is not light, and you feel that. This is a shoe for steady, controlled miles, not a shoe you will want to pick up the pace in. If you overpronate mildly or just want a stable, cushioned daily workhorse that stays composed when you are tired, it earns its place. If you are chasing lighter, springier stability, look at the newer wave of soft-support trainers instead. It replaces the ForeverRun Nitro 1 and keeps the same job description.
