The Saucony Triumph 24 is the brand's plush, do-everything max-cushion running shoe, the one you reach for when comfort matters more than the clock. At 250g with a towering 43mm heel stack, it is genuinely light for how much foam sits underfoot, and that is the story here. The new IncrediLUX A-TPU midsole is the soft, springy kind of cushioning that soaks up long miles without feeling dead or mushy. This is a neutral daily training shoe built for easy runs, recovery days and marathon-distance base miles, not a firm tempo tool and not a racer. In a max-cushion field that includes the Nike Vomero 18 and the Asics Gel Nimbus 28, the Triumph 24 leans into a livelier, bouncier ride than most. We rate it as one of the most comfortable plush trainers you can buy, as long as you want cushioning first and speed second.
The Triumph 24 fits true to size for most runners, so order your normal Saucony number and you will be fine. The fit is a standard medium width: secure through the midfoot, with a heel that locks down cleanly and no slip once the laces are set. The toe box is moderate, giving your toes room to spread on long runs without feeling sloppy, though runners with genuinely wide feet may find it a touch snug and should look at a wide option or a roomier shoe like the New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080. The engineered upper wraps the foot softly with minimal break-in needed. If you plan to use these mostly for long runs where feet swell late on, going true to size still works well, but half a size up is a reasonable call if you are between sizes or run high mileage.
The ride is soft and bouncy, the highlight of the shoe. Push off and the IncrediLUX foam gives back a gentle, cushioned rebound that keeps easy miles feeling fresh rather than flat. There is a smooth heel-to-toe roll thanks to the 10mm drop and a rockered profile, so the shoe moves you forward without demanding much from tired legs. It is happiest at easy and steady paces. Ask it to run fast and the tall, soft stack starts to feel vague underfoot, so this is not the shoe for sharp tempo work. But for long, relaxed running it is exactly right. Late in a long run, when your form goes and your legs are heavy, the Triumph 24 keeps protecting you.
This is where the Triumph 24 earns its keep. With 43mm of stack at the heel and 33mm up front, there is a serious slab of IncrediLUX A-TPU foam between you and the road, and it is tuned soft. The protection over distance is excellent: pounding on hard pavement is dulled to a plush, forgiving landing that stays comfortable deep into a marathon-length effort. Crucially the foam holds its bounce rather than going flat, so it does not bottom out on longer runs the way cheaper soft foams can. If your priority is legs that feel fresher after 20 miles, few shoes in this class cushion better. The trade-off is a high, soft platform that suits comfort more than ground feel.
The Triumph 24 is a neutral shoe with no medial post, guide rails or corrective structure, so it makes no promises to overpronators. That said, for a soft max-cushion trainer it is reasonably composed. The midsole is wide enough at the base to give a stable-ish platform for a neutral runner, and the heel holds you securely through landing. But this is a tall, soft stack, and tall soft stacks always trade some inherent stability for comfort. If you need genuine pronation control you will want a dedicated stability shoe such as the instead. For neutral runners who just want plush miles, the Triumph 24 stays planted enough for everyday training.

The engineered mesh upper is soft, breathable and built for comfort straight out of the box, with no real break-in period. It wraps the foot gently without hot spots, and the ventilation is good enough to keep things cool on warmer runs. The tongue and heel collar carry enough padding to feel plush without turning sloppy, and the heel lockdown is secure. It is a comfort-first upper that matches the character of the shoe: nothing aggressive or race-focused, just an easy, accommodating hold that suits long, relaxed running. For most runners it will simply disappear on the foot, which is exactly what you want from a daily trainer you plan to spend hours in.
